Virtual Instruction as an Option

How many parents do you think know about virtual instruction, we
are betting that there are a lot of parents that do not know that
this is an option for their children. 
 
What is virtual instruction?
The program helps each student maximize his or her potential by
combining:

Strong parental involvement of learning at home
Expertise and accountability of public education
Flexibility of online classes

Students learn outside the traditional classroom – typically from home, but also from libraries, community centers, and occasionally from the road.

This is all possible with a learning coach (usually a parent), customized instruction laid out for you by a certified teacher, learning resources such as text books, lesson plans, workbooks, and if offered – a desktop computer. There are also planned field trips and activities so that the children can interact with others their age and enhance their learning.

MomitForward Give Away

MomitForward http://mommygossip-gno.blogspot.com is holding a give away contest for random acts of kindness or a community project. When we heard of this contest we thought it would be a perfect way to MomitForward and to generate awareness about this great needed cause and to generate awareness about Momitforwared -an organization of women and moms dedicated to strengthening families and communities by first strengthening moms. Mom It Forward empowers women to achieve success through service, strength and socializing. By strengthening families and communities Mom It Forward is changing the world one mom at a time.

We are currently starting a non-profit business, “Emerging Minds of Maryland” to bring virtual schooling as a public school option to all of Maryland. We are a small group of parents who have experienced first hand the benefits of virtual schooling. Our mission is to advocate for alternate education, primarily virtual instruction, in the state of Maryland, and to make this accessible for all families. Our vision is to be the organization which breaks down the walls about alternate education, one brick at a time.
